Architectural Design​

HOUZE® is developing and building zero-energy, affordable homes in the historic neighborhood of Independence Heights in a public-private partnership with the City of Houston. Independence Heights was the first African American municipality in Texas. Today, HOUZE is working with community leaders to shape the next 100 years. The HOUZE project is the first of its kind in America, introducing affordable homes that produce significantly more electricity than they use through the utilization of natural gas co-generation Power Cells.

HOUZE Home Design​

A fashion boutique...an art gallery...a platform for free thinking. an independent fashion boutique where people want to shop, by mixing ridiculous product – stylish menswear and women’s accessories – with an incredible shopping experience. Driven by passion and aided by friends, founders David Lloyd and Shomari Benton wanted to create a clothing store that did more than just sell clothes. Combining modern architecture, local art, vintage furniture, and a clear emphasis on bringing people together and giving back to the community.

AMC Mainstreet​

As an intern at Helix Architecture + Design I was part of the interior + branding team that transformed the 1920's era stage theater into a state-of-the-art cinema.  My role consisted of:

KC Chiefs Training Facility​

As an intern with Rafael Architects, Inc.  I was part of the interior + branding team for the expansion and design of the NFL Chiefs' Training facility. My role consisted of

An abandoned residence that was deep in foreclosure turned into a renovation project with a contemporary twist. With a collection of vintage and contemporary furniture, the focus of this interior design project was to display the client’s collection of fine photography and antique book collection, and an interesting kitchen on a budget and to increase the value of the real estate.

Dewolf Street Residence​

Located in the South End neighborhood of Boston, MA, this high-end condo conversion project was the first step in the revitalization of this historic building located within a blighted block of the community. Large floor-to-ceiling southern-facing windows provide warmth in the winter month and provides a nice complement to the break up the completely modern interiors to the natural elements outdoors.

242 Shawmut​

The White Sands Village Phase III project will help the Pueblo of Pojoaque Housing Corporation further alleviate the dire housing need that exists among tribal members. The Housing Corporation’s two other tax credit projects—White ands Village I and II—are both in full compliance with the tax credit program requirements, and have both experienced high occupancy and low tenant turnover.

White Sands Village Phase III Residential Design​

The primary objective for this out-patient facility was to create a wellness spa atmosphere and provide services you would find in a traditional spa. Plaza Manor is aimed at provide an environment for healing, recovery, and personal development. The focus is on treating the whole person rather than just the problem, to help people integrate their challenges into the larger context of their lives in a contemporary and comforting environment.

A men’s wear line that takes pride in it’s classic and sophisticated style need a space that was consistent with it’s brand and clientele. Imagine shopping the closet of your dreams with pressed shirts in every color and style to prepare yourself for a casual trip to the Cape, a deal-closing lunch, or an unforgettable evening with friends. From fixture design, space planning, and product design everything has the essence of Nixon.

Nixon​

A branch library inspired by the design and binding process of books, this building is designed to accommodate quiet student-oriented study areas, collaboration space, and also large scale events, which can all be orchestrated simultaneously without disturbing one group from the next.
